The Bachmann Era System Explained

Most Bachmann Branchline, Bachmann Narrow Gauge and Graham Farish products feature an Era symbol in our printed catalogues, and an Era number online. The same applies to our European Liliput range where it is known as the Epoch. This represent the period in which the item modelled was introduced to the rail network. In many cases, that item would have operated during subsequent Eras too, so if you are modelling Era 5 for example, why not take a look at the models produced for Era 4 as well.

The Era system has been devised as a simple guide for those wishing to focus their modelling in a particular time period.

Please note this classification is not absolute and is intended to be a rough guide only.
