US Navy P-8A Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft.
Multi-mission maritime patrol aircraft developed by Boeing for the United States Navy, based on the Boeing 737-800 airframe. Designed primarily for anti-submarine warfare (ASW), anti-surface warfare (ASuW), and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations, the P-8A is equipped with advanced sensors, radars, and sonobuoys to detect and track submarines and surface vessels. It can also carry torpedoes, depth charges, and anti-ship missiles.
First introduced in 2013, the P-8A Poseidon has been adopted by several other countries, including India, the UK, and Australia. It is highly regarded for its extended range, high-speed capabilities, and versatility in both military and humanitarian missions, including search and rescue operations.
