M43 American Army Field Ambulance converted from M37 truck by the Dodge Automobile Company, 1951 to 1954. The M43 could transport four casualties and by one or two medical personnel. The type participated in the Korean and Vietnam Wars transporting wounded personnel from field airstrips to remote military hospitals. After the Vietnam War, the vast majority of M43 ambulances were sold to private owners. Many have been restored and can be seen at military auto shows in the USA and other countries.
