Fennek (small desert fox) Leichter Gepanzerter Spähwagen (Light Armoured Scout Car) 4x4 reconnaissance vehicle developed jointly for the German and Dutch military to replace their Luchs ARVs and M113s respectively. The prototype completed field trials in April 2000 and a combined initial order was placed in December 2001, 410 Royal Netherlands Army, 222 for the German Army.
